Capabilities

Engineering design, prototype development and in-house build support for teams developing physical systems, test rigs, instrumentation and early automation concepts.

Core development areas

Seked Labs supports early-stage technical development where design, fabrication, measurement and integration need to come together. We help turn uncertain requirements into working prototypes, testable systems and clear next steps.

Test & Research Systems

Custom rigs, fixtures, enclosures and experimental setups for research, product development and validation work where repeatability and practical build quality matter.

Inspection & Data-Capture Systems

Camera, sensor, lighting and logging setups for parts, samples, experiments and processes that need consistent, repeatable data capture.

Automation & Control Concepts

Concept design and early prototype work for handling, positioning, checking, sorting and repeatable process steps before committing to a larger automation system.

Engineering Intelligence

Image analysis, signal processing, basic machine vision and applied ML support where measured data needs to inform engineering decisions.

In-house build capabilities

Our in-house workshop supports fast iteration from CAD to physical parts, allowing prototype hardware, fixtures, enclosures and integrated systems to be developed with fewer handoffs.

CNC routing

CNC-routed panels, fixtures, plates and prototype components

Large-format CNC routing for fixtures, plates, enclosure panels, templates and prototype parts where sheet materials or machined panels are the right starting point.

  • Suitable for plastics, wood, sheet materials and selected aluminium work
  • Working area roughly 1200 × 1200 mm, depending on tooling and workholding
  • Useful for one-off parts, fixtures, development rigs and sheet-based builds

Electronics assembly & instrumentation

Prototype electronics, wiring, sensor integration and test

Bench-level electronics support for prototype systems, sensor setups, test rigs, instrumentation and early-stage integration work.

  • Soldering, wiring, rework, cable assemblies and prototype integration
  • Support for control boards, sensor systems, embedded hardware and bench setups
  • Basic bring-up, testing and integration support for early-stage systems

CO₂ laser cutting & engraving

Laser-cut panels, labels, enclosure parts and sheet prototypes

CO₂ laser cutting and engraving for sheet parts, enclosure panels, labels, templates and small prototype batches.

  • 100W CO₂ laser for acrylic, plywood, MDF, card, leather and other suitable sheet materials
  • Working area up to 1000 × 600 mm
  • Well suited to enclosure panels, engraved labels, fabricated assemblies and repeatable sheet parts
FDM 3D printer with multi-material filament system and filament dryers

FDM 3D printing

Fast functional prints for prototypes, fixtures and enclosures

FDM printing for fast iteration, functional test parts, brackets, jigs, fixtures, enclosures and prototype components during early development.

  • Materials include PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, PC, TPU and other suitable FDM plastics
  • Multi-colour and compatible multi-material printing where useful
  • Build volume up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm

Fixtures, Rigs & Enclosures

Design and build support for sample holders, housings, mounting hardware, brackets, panels, test fixtures and other practical hardware around a project.

Prototype Integration & Build

Mechanical parts, electronics, wiring and fabricated components brought together into working bench setups, demonstrators and early prototype systems.

Typical timelines

Build-only work: straightforward fabrication or assembly jobs are often quoted around 3 to 7 working days, depending on materials, workload and file readiness.

Technical development work: projects involving design, integration, instrumentation, automation or testing are usually scoped in stages so cost, timing, deliverables and technical risks are clear before work starts.

If your project does not fit neatly into one category, send the rough idea, files or sketches and we can suggest a sensible first step.
